Since 19 June 2026, all online shops must include a withdrawal button. But the rules do not merely require the button to exist: it must be clear and understandable to the consumer. Legal text in the wrong language does not meet that requirement.

Directive (EU) 2023/2673 requires the withdrawal process to be understandable to consumers. A customer who does not understand the legal text is not being properly informed.
